Advertiser’s Secrets to Compelling Learning Videos

Break through the clutter and leave your audience remembering your message

IFSE
50 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Suite 602 – Mississauga

About this session

With short attention spans and the need to “break through the clutter,” how can your learning videos leave your audience remembering your message? Try looking at a field that does this well: advertising. If commercials can get people to purchase items they don’t need, how can you use these marketing secrets to influence learners (and do this without them feeling manipulated)?

In this hands-on session, you will learn what makes some ads so compelling they persuade you to buy. This session will explore the strategic framework to use when creating a learning video strategy as well as the design considerations.

  • Describe the strategic framework for designing and evaluating effective video for learning.
  • Explain the video “hooks” to make the content in your learning video memorable.
  • Apply the four characteristics of effectively using visuals to design or evaluate videos.
