BEST WORKPLACES FOR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
CANADA’S LEADERS AND THEIR BEST PRACTICES
This research driven, interactive session will focus on the inaugural list of “Best Workplaces in Canada for Learning and Development” published by Great Place to Work® Institute in the summer, 2017. Based on systematic surveys of employee perceptions and experience and structured assessments of organizational learning and development practices, this unique national list is aimed at recognizing Canada’s leaders in learning and development from across a diverse spectrum of hundreds of small, medium and large Canadian based organizations participating in the program.
Session attendees will learn about Canada’s leaders in learning and development including the most innovative and distinctive facets of their cultures, strategies, programs and practices for accelerating and sustaining continuous learning and development leading to their achieving this unique standard of excellence in Canada.
Research highlights and best practices will be highlighted and discussed in a dynamic and interactive process to enhance session participants’ learning experience.
José Tolovi Neto
Managing Partner, Great Place to Work® Institute, Canada
José Tolovi Neto is the Managing Partner for Great Place to Work® Canada. Before starting this position in 2008, he was a Partner and the Vice President of our Brazilian affiliate, where he is still a board member.
José has been studying the characteristics of high-trust work cultures for over 10 years and uses this experience to help companies create and sustain great working environments. He has been a guest speaker at several conferences and seminars and is frequently asked to contribute to a variety of business and HR management publications. Prior to joining the Institute, José was a senior business executive in the technology industry, having worked for organizations such as Microsoft and EDS in Brazil, England, Germany and Spain. He holds Bachelor and Graduate degrees in business management from FGV (ranked Latin America’s top business school).
José has two daughters and lives with his family in Toronto.

Exit from Union station and the building is at Yonge and Bremner (south of Union) at Maple Leaf Square. There is ample parking in the area (underground 15 York, across the street in the Telus building, etc.)
