Milwaukee Brewers activate Eric Yardley https://www.fanmb.com/manny-pina-jersey, option Tyrone Taylor After the trade of JP Feyereisen and Drew Rasmussen to Tampa Bay, the Milwaukee Brewers are looking for some new names to step up and fill the holes left by those two in the bullpen. One name cited by manager Craig Counsell was Eric Yardley https://www.fanmb.com/brent-suter-jersey, and he was activated from the Injured List before yesterday’s ballgame while Tyrone Taylor was optioned down to Nashville.RHP Eric Yardley reinstated from the 10-day injured list.OF Tyrone Taylor optioned to Triple-A Nashville. pic.twitter.com/tove09f9XQ— Milwaukee Brewers May 25, 2021Unfortunately, Yardley’s first appearance did not go well, as he allowed two runs on three hits in one inning of work last night against the Padres. Yardley was nails for the Brewers during the 2020 pandemic season but has not been able to find that same success this year, so far working to a 6.75 ERA with four strikeouts and four walks in 12.0 innings pitched.Taylor was able to be optioned and saw his playing time diminish of late, both as the team got healthy and his own production deteriorated. He posted a 1.087 OPS through the month of April, but has hit just .125/.222/.208 in 54 plate appearances during May and he hadn’t started a game since May 15th. Everyday at-bats down in Triple-A Nashville should help Taylor more towards getting back on track and contributing to the big league club at some point again later in the season https://www.fanmb.com/christian-yelich-jersey.Statistics courtesy of Baseball-Reference
