In 2025, CCCE’s programming kept circling back to a high‑stakes theme: modern L&D has to be strategic, measurable, and built for the real world. Across a mix of virtual and in‑person sessions, members explored how to shift L&D from reactive service provider to a true business partner aligning learning to organizational goals, operationalizing strategy, and demonstrating impact (Jan 15).

We then dug into behaviour change as the bridge between learner experience and tangible business KPIs, using case studies and data to make measurement feel less like “homework” and more like a design requirement (Feb 12). We zoomed in on influence and visibility articulating L&D’s unique value proposition, telling its story effectively, and building a credible brand online and offline (Mar 19).

As the year progressed, the focus expanded to the AI-driven shift in the world of work going beyond upskilling toward deeper “development,” with values‑based decision-making becoming increasingly important in human-to-human and human-to-machine interactions (Apr 16). We got hands-on with learner-centered methods by applying Design Thinking in real time (including empathy mapping and tackling adoption barriers) (May 14) and continued the in‑person conversations with sessions on EdTech transformation (Jun 18) and the power of strategic partnerships to turn insights into impact (Jul 17).

In the fall, we tied leadership development to credibility at the executive level using coaching approaches to influence decision-makers and demonstrate value through ROI and ROE (Sep 17) and a practical reminder that implementation is the game‑changer, spotlighting a real-world leadership development pilot that scaled into a high‑impact, ROI‑backed success story aligned to organizational KPIs (Nov 19). We wrapped up the year with an exploration of how empathy, coaching, strategic thinking, and identity elevate learning beyond the AI algorithm and why the human element is your greatest differentiator (Dec 10).

Looking to 2026, we’re excited to keep the momentum going with future CCCE sessions that help members learn from each other’s wins (and hard-earned lessons), stay ahead of emerging workplace shifts, and keep turning smart ideas into outcomes.

See you at our 2026 sessions, networking events, and get-togethers. Happy holidays!
